ARRL VE Testing: The VE Testing session is held in the pilots lounge at Brackett Field Airport, 1615 McKinley Ave., La Verne, CA 91750. The Testing is held on the last Saturday of every month (No VE session in December) at 1:00 p.m. (1300 hrs.) sharp. The location is the same place where TCARA has their Club meetings. Directions Starting from the 10 Freeway just East of the 57 FWY, exit to Fairplex Drive to go North over the hill until you come to a street signal light that is McKinley Ave. Then turn left on McKinley Ave. After you past the next street light, stay in your left lane or #1 lane. When you reach a Stop sign just continue straight across the continuation of Fairplex Dr. Continue straight on McKinley Ave. until you reach the end of the road then turn right to the Administration building - Pilots Lounge at Bracket Field Airport. They are located on the South side of the airport. Us MapQuest to find your way to Bracket Field Airport, 1615 McKinley Ave., La Verne, CA 91750. The testing will be for Technician through Extra Class. Call Chuck Phillips, KQ6NX at (909) 949-8145, for reservations. Leave on the answering machine the class of the test you want to take, your name, address, and telephone number. Bring your current original license and a copy; any CSCEs with copies of same, and a picture ID. There is a $14.00 testing fee. |
