PROGRAMS FOR THE MONTHS AHEAD:

    "Digital Cinema Presentation." Including is his Biography.

GENERAL club MEETING

TCARA holds a monthly General Club meeting on the second Wednesday of every month except for December. December is our Christmas Party which is held else where.

Everyone is welcome to attend our meetings, licensed and non-licensed persons. Informative presentations are given by experienced amateurs in various areas of the hobby. Meetings start at 7:30 PM.

Tri-County holds a 50/50 cash drawing. To win, you must purchase a ticket for $1. The tickets will be placed into a drawing bucket. At the end of the presentation a single ticket will be drawn, and 50% of the total dollar amount collected will be given to the lucky winner.

The other 50% of the cash will be placed into the clubs Field Day fund. This new drawing ensures that everyone in attendance has a chance to win.

LOCATION:

Our club meeting is located at Brackett Field Airport. Meeting is held in the Administration building - Pilots Lounge. The address is 1615 McKinley Ave., La Verne, Ca 91750 http://g.co/maps/ea3ph

From the I-10 Freeway just East of the 57 FWY, take the Fairplex Drive off-ramp from either-direction and go North up the hill on Fairplex Drive.

Continue going North over the hill until you come to McKinley Ave. with a street signal light.

Now turn left on McKinley Ave., when you reach the next street signal light stay in your left or number one lane to continue on McKinley Ave.

When you reach a stop sign, continue straight across to continue on McKinley Ave.

Continue on McKinley Ave. going west until you reach the end of the road then turn right going towards the Administration Building. When you enter the building through the front door, go past the gift shop then turn left.

The meeting room is on the left side in the hallway.

Membership Dues/ APPLICATION

Individual - $20 / Year (Due January 1st to December 31st of each year) You can pay at the meeting or mail your $20 check. If your not able to make it to the meetings! Membership enables you to receive membership prizes, vote, Place FREE FOR SALE ads in the QRM, receive the QRM, and run for an office. It is open to any persons licensed and unlicensed. Members participate in a number of activities in the Amateur Radio community.

Activities include club meetings, projects, special events, any ARRL events and Sunday Nets.

Net Information

TCARA holds a weekly Sunday evening (2-meter) net at 7:00 PM. The FM Frequency is -145.440 MHz with a 136.5 Hz Tone (T) or Tone Squelch (T-SQ).

All amateur operators are welcomed to check in.

N6USO repeater system is right at the top of Sunset Ridge peak, just over 5,300 feet above the city of La Verne, Claremont and Pomona, CA. 

So those with beams should point to just north of Claremont. It is a high level machine with great coverage and should afford us all of the benefits.

Sergeant Burton Brink with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is the repeater owner and has our thanks. So please load the frequency and PL into your rigs and join the net. Please click on Sunset Ridge Repeater website.
